This outdoor public urinal magically appears every weekend on Oxford Street, near where we live. Although you can't see it from the photograph, they are in fact four stalls facing one another "in the round".

And, yes, Londoners actually do use it, although typically not the women.

Apparently, the idea is to provide an alternative to using those cute red telephone booths for such crude purposes.

Pornography, however, is another matter.

Hi, in fact there are 12 of these put out into the centre of London each Friday and Saturday. On average we collect around 500 gallons of pee each weekend!

It's just the idea of seeing men peeing in the street! At least when there's an alleyway, you don't see them do it. Although 500 gallons is a serious amount of pee. I'd prefer an enclosed unit personally.
